Montblanc's Starwalker line a line of pens I couldn't possibly imagine coming out of Montblanc. The standard Starwalker never did much for me - it takes a short international converter, is weighted poorly, and has an uninspiring bland nib.
Then I saw the Extreme Steel and I couldn't help myself. Overpriced at a whopping $1250, it glistens its display case and is surprisingly beautiful. Plated in platinum, adorned with ceramic, and with its gorgeous floating snowflake, it's a stunner.
This is a pen that will find absolutely no functional use for me and, while I don't like to own pens I don't use, it's an absolute joy to look at every time.
