I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ralph at Regalia Writing Labs is a mad genius.
Ralph sent me a Slack a few months back before his flight to New York asking, simply, "Yo man, how do you feel about stub nibs?" Being a sane person, I responded, "I love them." A few weeks later I picked him up at the airport and we drove to the Big Apple Pen Club on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. In the middle of the meeting, he stood up and said, "Hey man, I have something for you! It took four tries, but I think I got it right."
I died that day.
A few minutes later, after my heart realized the rest of me was still alive and restarted of its own accord, "I ran to the bathroom with a random bottle of ink someone had unceremoniously shoved in my hands and threw some ink in the barrel of an FC 02 Prototype I'd purchased from Krystle at Hippo Noto about a year earlier.
Putting this pen to paper was love at first sight. What Ralph had made was something short of a miracle. My jaw hit the floor; Ralph had created a one-of-a-kind four-tine flex music nib that he'd dubbed The Overture.
There are not enough thanks in the world I can offer for this nib and I've been thrilled with every experience to lay ink down on the page. Now to get him to make a Bock version for a Conid.
